Check Status of a Massachusetts Real Estate License

The Board of Professional Licensure reports that there are over 70,000 licensed real estate agents in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Every year between 5 and 15,000 new agents join the force and become licensed real estate agents.  It is a rare occasion when a real estate agent is actively working on a deal with their license in an “inactive” status.  To find out if a real estate agents license is active, ask for their real estate license number and check it against the Board of Professional Licensures database.

That database is maintained by the Board and is regularly updated. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to contact the Real Estate Board at 617-727-2373.  They are available to offer advice, assistance, and generally have a quick response time.
