Online Continuing Education Requirements For Massachusetts Real Estate Professionals

We’ve been asked numerous times by Mass real estate agents “What do I have to do to complete my continuing education requirement?” It’s been asked so many times that we’ve decided to create a page just to answer this question. If you are a licensed real estate agent or broker in Massachusetts then you are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Those 12 hours can be completed online at keepmecertified.com at once or over the 2 year period that your license is active.

Each topic offered is 2 hours long which equals 2 credit hours.  Once you complete the 12 hours you will be issued a certificate of completion which you can print and store for your records.

Don’t forget that once you complete all of your CE credits you need to update the state board of professional licensure by sending them a check which covers your renewal fee for the state.

Are there any tests or quizzes?  No, there are no tests or quizzes but the state requires that all online schools implement an “are you still there” message which periodically pops up and requires you to click “yes” before the video continues.  The Keep Me Certified team acknowledges that this is disruptive and annoying, but we don’t make the rules.

“What if my license already expired and I want to reactivate it?”  No problem, just complete the 12 hours and contact the board of professional licensure in Massachusetts.  They’ll walk you through the rest but in short, you just need to have proof that you’ve caught up with the CE credits and paid the renewal fee.

How much does online continuing education cost?  Online continuing education can run from $19- $109.  Here at Keep Me Certified School of Real Estate, we offer a 12 credit package online course (self-paced videos) at one of the lowest prices on the market.  We are one of the lowest priced courses with one of the highest quality courses and encourage you to browse through our blog and our online reviews posted by our students to see for yourself.

If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to us via support@keepmecertified.com, live chat in the bottom right corner of our website or call the Massachusetts Division of professional licensure.
