Modules
The following 6 modules have been approved by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure for 12 hours of real estate continuing education credit. All 6 modules are included in the $77 offering to complete the mandatory continuing education requirement for Massachusetts real estate licensees.
1. Agency – 2 Credit Hours
This course is designed to educate licensees on the various duties and responsibilities owed to the client, and how to earn a commission.
2. Contract Law – 2 Credit Hours
The focus of this course is on types of contracts, understanding offer language, and what makes a contract legally valid.
3. Fair Housing – 2 Credit Hours
Students are taught licensee requirements and the skills necessary to work with protected class clients.
4. Finance – 2 Credit Hours
The mortgage industry has been reinvented. This module provides an overview of the history of financing and explains the state of the current lending landscape.
5. Residential Leasing – 2 Credit Hours
This course is designed to educate the licensee on residential leasing best practices and hot residential leasing trends. Students will learn insider information on generating rental income and how to advise the investor client.
6. Condos, Co-ops and Time Shares – 2 Credit Hours
Underwriting guidelines for financing condominiums have tightened. This course is designed to provide a general overview of Condominium Law in MA and equip the licensee with the tools necessary to best represent the condominium buyer/seller client.
