Every two years New Jersey licensees need to complete continuing ed to keep their NJ real estate license active.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q55XpuLi4XY?si=BT1vD161G_NAT-KP\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for the 2025 cycle:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Continuing Education completion deadline is April 30, 2025. If you complete your CE late, after April 30, 2025, there is a $200 late fee due to the state at renewal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>12 Credit hours of continuing education of which;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>6<\/strong> of the total 12 continuing ed credits must be approved as Core courses,\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2<\/strong> of the 6 Core continuing ed credits must be approved for Ethics<\/li>\n<li><strong>1<\/strong> of the 6 Core continuing ed credits must be approved for Fair Housing<\/li>\n<li><strong>1<\/strong> of the 6 Core continuing ed credits must be approved for Agency &#8211; <strong>*This is a new topic requirement for 2025*<\/strong> We offer a two credit &#8220;Agency Relationships&#8221; course that satisfies this requirement.<\/li>\n<li>The remaining <strong>2<\/strong> Core credits can be comprised of any of the abovementioned topics or other courses approved in NJ for Core credit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>As long as the minimum Core requirements above are met, the remaining credits can be elective or additional credits in any of the Core topics.<\/li>\n<li>These requirements apply to all actively licensed real estate Brokers, Broker Salespersons, and Salespersons who want to renew their active real estate license.<\/li>\n<li>Exemption: If you initially earned your license between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The source of this information comes from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dobi\/division_rec\/index.htm\">NJ Real Estate Commission<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dobi\/proposed\/aa110718.pdf\">here<\/a> is the bill that was passed. You can find the requirements and instructions to reinstate a NJ real estate license <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.gov\/dobi\/division_rec\/licensereinstatement.htm\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing education credits can be completed in a live classroom or an entirely online setting (on-demand\/self-paced, Zoom, etc.).
