How to Renew a South Carolina Real Estate License in 2022
Renewing a South Carolina real estate license in 2022 is easier, more affordable, and more enjoyable than it’s ever been. In this post we’ll outline the education requirements that South Carolina Brokers and Agents need to complete before June 30, 2022.
Every two years, real estate agents and brokers need to complete 10 credit hours of continuing education. Four of the 10 credit hours must be a mandatory topic. The remaining six credits can be elective topics.
If you are Broker-in-charge, you need to complete the same four hour mandatory course and a four hour broker in charge course. The remaining two credits can be an elective topic.
Continuing education credit hours can be completed live in a physical classroom, live online (ie Zoom) or a-synchronously (on-demand) at any time during the two year renewal cycle. Most licensees typically wait until the last few weeks and months leading up to their renewal deadline, but credits can be completed at any time during the two year cycle. Any extra credits that are completed cannot be applied to the next renewal cycle. The full list of continuing education requirements can be found on the SC LLR website, here.
