how to renew a south carolina real estate licenseBelow is the note issued by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission on Feb 12, 2022 to all South Carolina real estate licensees offering guidance on the most recent South Carolina real estate license renewal requirements for 2022.

There is also a link included at the bottom of the letter to the full 2022 renewal requirements.

“Dear Licensees:

You are receiving this communication because you are due to renew your license this year. Renewals will open on May 2nd, and a lot has changed since the last time you renewed. It is imperative that you read the renewal instructions to understand the changes and avoid having your license inactivated.

Of particular note is the fingerprinting requirement. It is important for you to be aware that the information in this email is intended only for you and other licensees who must renew in 2022. Not all licensees renew at the same time, and those renewing in other years will be contacted at the appropriate time.

Expiration dates can be verified on pocket cards or by accessing licensee lookup on the Commission’s website.

South Carolina residents should follow the resident instructions to register for a digital fingerprinting appointment at a South Carolina IdentoGO location.

Non-residents, please follow the non-resident instructions. Fingerprint card packets will be mailed to your address of record on file with the Commission. If you do not receive these cards by April 1, 2022, please email the Commission at Contact.REC@llr.sc.gov, and request fingerprint cards. Please identify your name, license number, and last 5 digits of your social security number, and verify your residential mailing address in the email request.

In order to ensure you understand the new fingerprinting requirements involved with renewing your license and to avoid issues with renewing your license, please take the time to click the link below and review thoroughly.
