South Carolina’s Legal Hot Tips – 2024-2026 Core Continuing Ed Course
South Carolina has a new required continuing ed course for the 2024-2026 renewal cycle titled “Legal Hot Tips”. This continuing ed course satisfies the core topic requirement for licensees to renew their South Carolina real estate license.
Every two years, real estate licensees in South Carolina need to complete continuing education and renew their real estate license directly with SC LLR. For those on the current even numbered renewal cycle ( 2026, 2028 etc) requires licensees to complete 10 credit hours of continuing education. Four of these credits must be comprised of the current mandatory course, titled Legal Hot Tips. The remaining six credits can be comprised of elective topics.
For those who are on an even numbered year cycle, continuing education credits and license renewal must be completed by June 30, 2026 – don’t wait until the last minute.
The four credit-hour Core continuing ed course for the 2024-26 renewal cycle covers topics that fall in the following categories:
- SC Code of Laws
- Jurisdiction and enforcement
- Transaction Brokerage
