Updated: South Carolina Real Estate License Renewal Requirements – Extended Deadline

Every two years, all real estate licensees in South Carolina are required to renew their real estate license, but 2020 is different. Covid-19 has disrupted the entire US economy, including the real estate industry.

Normally, the South Carolina real estate license renewal deadline is June 30, but this year (2020) the South Carolina Real Estate Commission extended the renewal deadline to September 30, 2020. The renewal fee remains between $45-$55 unless you renew your license late, in which case you will be required to pay an additional late fee that can range from $15-$90.

2020 South Carolina Renewal Requirements:
10 hours total of continuing education – including mandatory classes during the two year renewal cycle.
